City Commissions and Boards

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Members of the Planning Commission are appointed for a three-year term (terms expire on December 31).

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. Members of the ZBA are appointed to a three-year term (terms expire on December 31).

Board of Review
The Board of Review meets annually in March. Members of the Board of Review are appointed to four-year terms (terms expire on January 1).

Downtown Development Authority
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Members of the DDA are appointed to a four-year term (terms expire on  September 1).

Local Development Finance Authority/Brownfield Redevelopment Authority
The Local Development Finance Authority/Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (LDFA/BRA) meet monthly on the thrid Monday at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall. Members of the LDFA/BRA are appointed to a three-year term (terms expire on December 31).

Compensation Commission
The Compensation Commission meets as needed in odd-numbered years. Members of the Compensation Commission are appointed to a five-year term (terms expire on December 31).

Area Boards and Commissions

Davison Area Fire Authority
The Davison Area Fire Authority meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall (403 S. Main Street, Davison). The governing board of each participating government (Davison, Davison Township, and Richfield Township) appoints two members to the Executive Board of the Davison Area Fire Authority. A remaining member of the Executive Board is appointed to a two-year term on a rotating basis among the participating governments. All terms expire on December 31.

Davison Area Library Board
The Davison Area Library Board meets every other month (even-numbered) on the first Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Davison branch of the Genesee District Library. Davison, Davison Township, and Richfield Township each appoint two members to three-year terms. Another member is appointed by the Davison Community Schools to a three-year term, and a final member is appointed to a three-year term on a rotating basis among Davison, Davison Township, and Richfield Township. All terms expire on December 31.

Davison Area Senior Citizens Authority
The Davison Area Senior Citizens Authority meets monthly on the third Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Davison Area Senior Center. Davison and Davison Township (Richfield Township has withdrawn as a participating local government) each appoint two members to a three-year term, and a final member is appointed to a three-year term on a rotating basis among the two units of government. All terms expire on December 31.
